Centrix was engaged to design and build the new soft mud brick plant for Midland Brick. This was part of an overall $60 million upgrade and involved working with a variety of technologies and contractors to ensure a smooth integration.

The Centrix design team were innovative in their approach and involved the client at every opportunity to try to achieve the best result. Robot Palletising System
This project involved designing, manufacturing and installing a two robot automatic palletizing system to handle eight different products through each cell.
Each robot was designed to handle pallets, eight products, place slip sheets and product labeling. To do this Centrix designed and built a special purpose gripper.
Product conveying, orientation and pallet transportation is all managed by a central PLC system.

Casing Cut Testing - Special Project
Centrix was engaged to design and build test equipment to simulate oil well casing conditions in order to test a Sondex mechanical casing cutter. The test equipment reproduced 100,000lb compression conditions existing in the well environment.

Centrix was approached by Independence Group NL to design a winch for underground operation.
Our brief incorporate a requirement for the unit to have sufficient battery power for consistent operation within a "workshift" without recharging the battery units through the running of the vehicle.
Centrix was incorporated a PLC to make the unit a much more versatile and powerful unit.

We approached Centrix in early 2008 and arranged for several of our staff to meet with them to discuss our requirements. This request was readily agreed to by Centrix and after a meeting lasting several hours, they had a rough idea of our requirements.
Our requirements were quite specific as we intended that our equipment had to meet the demanding specifications to operate underground as well as being suitable to use in surface regional exploration.
Utilising the latest technology, the winch includes PLC control of all functions such as manual or automatic depth settings, programmable multi-stopp logging, zero metres auto-stop and cable tension monitoring...Customised fit-out in the rear compartment of a Toyota 78 Series Landcruiser Personnel Carrier was carried out immaculately by Centrix providing a safe, comfortable and functional unit which will give us many years of service.
We found the staff at Centrix approachable, flexible and extremely competent and have no hesitation in highly recommending them to anyone considering the purchase of a quality geophysics logging winch system.

Winch Upgrade - Special Project
This project involved undertaking a major service and upgrade of a winch that handled optic fibre cable that was originally designed and built by Centrix staff through a predecessor company.
The winch control was upgraded to include cable protection features and additional control features were added with extra function to enable a wider selection of cable management features.

Centrix was engaged to install a safety fencing system at a new concrete production facility in Maddington.
Centrix was required to work to a deadline and part of the client specifications included the design of wide automated gate facilities that would lift when concrete products were manufactured.
